The PRIDE Foundation will be holding a nationwide
roadshow on Breast Cancer Awareness and the importance of breast health. The
roadshow which will cover seven states, namely Johor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Perak, Terengganu and Selangor will be held from
October 2009 till February 2010.
The PRIDE Foundation will be holding a nationwide

October 2009 till February 2010. The roadshow not only aims at providing vital information
on early detection methods of breast cancer plus guidelines on healthy living but
also to promote LPPKN Clinics as affordable diagnostic centers for breast
cancer. It also hopes to increase family awareness on the illness and drive
home the key message that early detection and treatment saves lives.
The roadshow will consist of Workshop sessions for
students from local university and the general public and “Carnivals’” for the
local community.
The first of the
workshops and carnivals have been held at the International Islamic University
Malaysia (IIUM),Kuantan, Pahang on 15 October 2009, the Dewan SMK Canossian
Convent, Segamat, Johor on 24 October 2009, Dewan Seri Endon, Kepala Batas in Penang this 14 November 2009 and most recently,Dewan Tun Razak, Termerloh , Pahangon 21 November 2009

The workshops and carnivals will feature free health
check ups as well as subsidized mammogramregistrations. There will also be
talks from various health and medical specialists and even survivors. The carnivals,
which are aimed at the whole family, will also include fun games and
activities. Hypermarket chain, Giant, will be sponsoring various prizes and hampers to be won.
