PRIDE Foundation will be holding a breast cancer awareness campaign throughout the month of October, which is also internationally recognized as Beast Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative will be held at various medical centres in the Klang Valley.

The are namely Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 3 October, Prince Court Medical Centre on Friday 9 October, Primanora Medical Centre on Saturday 10 October, Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre on Sunday 11 October, Wijaya International Medical Centre on Saturday 24 October and finally, KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital on Saturday 31 October

The campaign aims to promote breast cancer awareness amongst the general public in an interactive and fun way with the key message ‘early detection saves lives’. It will also be an opportunity to familiarize the public with the facilities of the various medical centres and introduce special mammogram and ultrasound packages.

Award winning author of Vegemania & Fruitastic, Mohana Gill, will be giving a talk on healthy living followed by a cooking demonstration. There will be a talk on breast cancer by various medical representatives, a session by Xixili Intima focusing on the importance of being breast aware and wearing proper fitting bras. Cosmetics’ company, Mary Kay, will also be giving a grooming session.
