Datin Azrene Abdullah, CHAIRMAN
Datin Azrene is the Chairman of the PRIDE Foundation. She is an accountant by training and was on the Dean’s List in 1994. She also holds an MBA from the University of Malaya.
She started her career as an accountant with the Lion Group of Companies from 1994 to 1996. She then lectured at University of Malaya for a year before deciding to venture into business. She is now a company director for several companies.
Azrene is actively involved in charity works and has previously sat on the board of advisers for MAKNA.
Tun Mohamed Dzaiddin Haji Abdullah, TRUSTEE
Tun Dzaiddin is a barrister of the Middle Temple, England. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 1967, and was in active practice for 16 years before his elevation to the Bench.
He began his career in the Malaysian judiciary in 1982. He was appointed the 9th Chief Justice of Malaysia in 2000, becoming the first head of the Malaysian judiciary appointed from the ranks of practicing lawyers. He retired in March 2003.
Currently, he is a Consultant at SKRINE; non-Executive Chairman of Bursa Malaysia Sdn Bhd and non-Executive Chairman of Deutsche Bank (Malaysia) Bhd; Chairman for Tun Mohamed Suffian Foundation; Chairman for the Advisory Council of Business Ethics Institute of Malaysia; and Former Chairman of the Royal Commission to Enhance the Operation and Management of the Royal Malaysia Police.
Dato' Mohamed Nazir Abdul Razak, TRUSTEE
Dato’ Nazir is presently the Group Executive / Managing Director of CIMB. He graduated from University of Bristol with a BSc (Hons) and obtained an MPhil from the University of Cambridge.
He joined CIMB in 1989 and rose to become its Chief Executive in 1999. He is a member of the Investment Panel of the Employees Provident Fund, the Securities Commission’s Capital Market Advisory Council and the Asia Business Council. He is also a director of the Multimedia Development Corporation, Invent Qjaya Sdn Bhd and the Kuala Lumpur Business Club.
In 2005, he was named the “Visionaries & Leaders Series” honoree for Southeast Asia. He was the winner of the Malaysia’s CEO of the Year Award 2004 organised by Business Times and American Express Global Corporate Services. He was also named on the “25 Stars of Asia” by Business Week magazine and one of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders.
Salwah Abdul Shukor, TRUSTEE
Salwah graduated with a Second Upper LL.B (Hons) from Bristol University in 1990 where she was awarded the Best Overseas Student award and the University Undergraduate Scholarship, awarded to the top four students in recognition of their performance.
She later joined Messrs. Arthur Andersen & Co., London as a trainee chartered accountant until the end of 1991. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1994 and immediately thereafter started her career as an Advocate and Solicitor in Zain & Co.
Salwah was made a Partner of Zain & Co. in 2000 and is attached to the Corporate Department. Her areas of practice in the firm include corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, privatisation and corporatisation. She is also engaged in Syariah advisory work and is a registered Patent, Design and Trade Mark Agent.
Management Team
Rubi-Ain Dahlan, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Rubi holds a BBA (Hons) in Marketing from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
She started her career in advertising and later joined the Securities Commission (SC) in 1996 and stayed on for ten years. Her last post was as the Manager of Corporate Services.
Her achievements at the SC included the setting up of the Corporate Services department, managing local and international capital market education and training programs, and promoting the Commission’s investor awareness efforts.
Azuwa Abdullah, PROGRAMME MANAGER
Azuwa graduated from the International Islamic University and holds a Masters in Law from University Malaya.
She has worked at Mayban Securities Sdn Bhd as a Credit Control Officer, the Securities Commission at the Complaints Unit, and at Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad as an Investment Banking Manager.
Being in the financial industry for more than ten years has exposed her on the importance of Due Diligence and Market Research.
Razina Abdul Razak, PROJECT MANAGER
Razina has an LCCI in Mass Comm. from Stamford College.
She has vast international exposure in Event Management. Her working experience include Client Servicing for a print media company in Cambodia, and MarComm for United Engineers (M) Bhd. and an international promotions company in Australia and U.K.
After completing her overseas contract, she did Sponsorship Marketing for the Malaysia Sea Games XXI and Events management for PEPSI Co International and F&N.
