Dato’ Azrene Abdullah

Executive Chairman

Dato’ Azrene Abdullah is the Executive Chairman of PRIDE (Pink Ribbon Deeds) Foundation, a charity body that aims to enhance and unite awareness efforts and improve standards of diagnosis, treatment and care of breast cancer. She has also sat on the board of the National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA) and was also the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Gourmand World Media Awards. An accountant by training, she has vast working experience in the commercial sectors and holds an MBA from University of Malaya.

Dato’ Sri Mohamed Nazir Tun Abdul Razak

Dato’ Sri Mohamed Nazir Abdul Razak is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad. He graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Politics, and obtained a Master of Philosophy in Development Economics from the University of Cambridge. He returned from the UK in 1989 and joined the corporate advisory department of CIMB Investment. In 1993, he was transferred to the bank’s stock-broking arm where he rose to the position of Executive Director. He moved back to CIMB Investment Bank as Deputy Chief Executive on 1 June 1996 and became the Chief Executive on 1 June 1999 at the age of 33. CIMB Group is today Malaysia’s 2nd largest financial services group and the 5th largest in the ASEAN region.

Dato’ Sri Nazir also became the youngest ever recipient of FinanceAsia’s prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2009. In 2008 he was voted as the second best bank CEO in the whole of Asia. He was also named the “Best Top Executive in Malaysia” by Asiamoney in 2009 and 2010 as well as “Best CEO (Malaysia)” by FinanceAsia in the Asia’s Best Managed Companies Poll 2011.

Dato’ Sri Nazir has also made very significant contributions to community service. He was instrumental in setting up the CIMB Foundation in 2007. CIMB pledged a sum of RM100 million to support the Foundation’s activities. Since 2008, thousands of Malaysians have benefitted through numerous community empowerment projects, sports development projects and scholarships provided by the Foundation. CIMB foundation has now extended its activities to the rest of ASEAN.

In recognition of his achievements and contributions to society, he was awarded the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah (DSAP) carrying the title ‘Dato’ in 2003, the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) carrying the title ‘Dato’ in 2004, and the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) which carries Dato’ Sri in 2008, all from Pahang.
